Visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels is a must-see when you are in HCMC and My Tho / Mekong Delta, surrounded by thousands of crisscrossed canals, life in the Mekong Delta revolves much around the river, most of the villages are often accessible by rivers and canals rather than by road. You then leave HCMC for Phnom Penh by road. The capital Phnom Penh is a chaotic, energetic and fascinating city with the Royal Palace and the National Museum which contains a large collection of Khmer artifacts. Continue to drive to Siem Reap to visit Angkor Complex. Stretching over some 400 km2 forested area including the famous Temple of Angkor Wat , Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. Take a boat trip on the Tonlé Sap lake, the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and home to many floating villages around the lake.

Itinerary

Warm welcome upon your arrival in HCMC. Your guide will meet you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. Check in. At leisure.

In the morning you drive to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. This underground complex is a must-see when you are in HCMC. You are invited to crawl around in the safer parts of the tunnel system or try a shooting range where you can fire a number of assault rifles, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. Back to HCMC. Afternoon you have a tour visiting some of its famous attractions such as the Reunification Palace, the Municipal Theatre, the City Post Office, the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the War Remnants Museum. Back to hotel. At leisure.

After breakfast meet your driver and depart for the My Tho / Mekong Delta. Surrounded by thousands of crisscrossed canals, life in the Mekong Delta revolves much around the river, most of the villages are often accessible by rivers and canals rather than by road. Upon arrival you take a motor-boat to explore the Thoi Son islet. Following a village path passing local houses to visit some family-run coconut candy mills then you take a horse-cart from village to village. Visit a local family and enjoy the “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, a very common art activity in the Mekong Delta performed by local people. Rejoin your car back to HCMC. At leisure.

Today you visit to the Royal Palace followed by the Silver Pagoda ( The Emerald Buddha temple),
and the National Museum with its beautiful Khmer architecture. Continue to visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (also known as S21) located in a quiet Phnom Penh suburb. Back to the town and
visit the Wat Phnom and stop for a walk at the Central Market before back to hotel. At leisure.

Today you leave Phnom Penh for Siem Reap by road ( around 6-hrs drive). Some photo stop on the way as well as visit some Cambodian villages. Check-in hotel in Siem Reap. At leisure.

Meet your guide at hotel and drive to the Angkor Thom. Visit the Bayon Temple which consists of 54 towers with the four faces of Avalokiteshvara (Buddha of Compassion). Continue to visit the Terrace of the Leper King, the Terrace of Elephants and the Baphuon, once of the most beautiful temples at Angkor followed by the Ta Prohm temple. Last stop of the day is the Mother of all temples, Angkor Wat, the perfect fusion of symbolism and symmetry and a source of pride and strength to all Khmers. Back to hotel. At leisure.

In the morning you enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and visit a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, floating police station.
